Real Estate 7

WordPress theme

Real Estate 7, by Contempo Themes, is sold as a listing system rather than a property-shaped page kit: the vendor describes its own CRM and IDX alongside co-listed agents, child sub-listings, downloadable attachments and a drag-and-drop advanced search. The article follows a single listing from the fields it carries to how buyers find it, then covers where the front end stops and what the compatibility record actually says.

The vendor is selling a listings business, not a homepage

Contempo Themes describes Real Estate 7 as "not only a WordPress theme but with our own CRM & IDX" a complete end-to-end solution for a real estate business. That sentence matters more than the feature list that follows it, because it sets the boundary of what the theme is for. You are not choosing a design and attaching property pages to it; you are choosing a property data model with a front end built on top.

Everything distinctive in the vendor's description hangs off that model. A listing can name more than one agent. It can have children. It can carry files that visitors download. It can be found through search fields whose order you control. None of those are template variations, and none of them can be judged from a screenshot.

What the description does not say is how the CRM or IDX side is licensed, what data feed it connects to, or whether it is included in a ThemeForest purchase. If your plan depends on the IDX supplying listing data from a board feed, that question belongs in a pre-sale enquiry rather than an assumption.

One property record, several people and several children

Co-listing support lets you attach one or more agents to any listing and displays their headshot, contact details and social profiles on the front end. For a brokerage where two agents split a mandate, or where a team leader fronts a junior's sale, this avoids duplicating the property just to credit a second person.

Sub-listings handle the opposite structure. The vendor describes them as a block for showing child listings such as apartment buildings or housing communities, so a parent property can present its individual units or lots without those becoming unrelated entries in the search results. Between these two features, the theme anticipates both the many-to-many agent relationship and the parent-child property relationship that property portals usually need to model outside the theme.

File attachments extend the same record: floor plans, contracts and presentations upload to a listing and open or download from the front end. Attachments are only as good as their preparation, so plan on print-ready PDFs sized for phone screens, and on a naming convention that survives a buyer's downloads folder.

Search fields you can reorder, maps you can cluster

The advanced search is described as a drag-and-drop panel where fields can be enabled, disabled and reordered. That is a different proposition from a fixed filter set: it means the order of questions on your search form is a decision you make, rather than something you work around with custom CSS.

Use it with restraint. A form that asks everything will be abandoned, and the reorder control is best used to push the two or three fields buyers in your market actually start with to the top, then hide the rest behind a broader filter. Residential, commercial and land listings are all supported, which usually means the field list has to serve three different buyer languages at once.

The mapping layer is a custom Google Maps integration with marker clusters, an infobox and pins. Clustering is the detail worth noting: when a city view returns dozens of properties, unclustered pins overlap into an unreadable smear, so the vendor's clustering is what keeps a dense results map usable.

Filling the site with listings before launch

Bulk import runs through WP All Import and, in the vendor's wording, the official add-on for Real Estate 7. If you are migrating an existing portfolio out of a CRM export or another portal, this is the feature that decides how long the launch takes, and it introduces a third-party plugin into the data path.

That plugin brings its own configuration surface: field mapping, image importing, and the scheduling of subsequent runs on the paid tiers of WP All Import. Confirm with the vendor which import fields the add-on covers before you start, because an attachment or a co-agent relationship is not a plain text column and may need handling beyond a straight field map.

The fourteen custom widgets bundled with the theme fill the rest of the page without imports. The Listings widget can pull properties from any taxonomy and tag combination, which is how you would build neighbourhood, price-band or commercial-versus-residential strips that update themselves as stock changes.

Three widgets that only work on a listing page

Most of the widget list is portable: Adspace, Blog Author Info, Broker Info, Contact Info, Flickr, Follow Us, Latest Posts, Listings, Listings Search, Search and Tabs can go in sidebars and footers. Three are not. Agent Info, Agents Other Listings and Listings Agent Contact are documented as usable only in the single listing sidebar, because they read data from the property being viewed.

That constraint is useful rather than limiting. It confirms the single listing template is the centre of the theme's front end: the agent's details, the agent's other stock and a direct contact form all live beside the property, filled from the record rather than typed into a sidebar by hand. The site has eight widget-ready sidebars and a widget-ready footer to place the portable ones.

Header choice runs to four options, positioned left, centre, right or none, each with sub-options. Combined with a live-preview theme options panel for logo, fonts, layout and colours, the global layer is set without code. The vendor also lists more than ten custom page templates, a child theme creator and breadcrumbs, which cover the structural pages around the listings.

Machine translations, RTL and the claims around them

The vendor states translation into 38 languages, with preloaded machine translations listed by name across European, Middle Eastern and Asian locales, plus RTL support and WPML compatibility. Machine translations get you a site in another language quickly, but names, property terminology and legal text will need review by a speaker before you publish them.

The marketplace compatibility attributes observed on 3 November 2026 name WPML, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, Elementor and Elementor Pro. Those are declarations of what the theme supports, not the result of testing on your stack, and the list changes nothing about the theme's own editing model.

Where the design work happens

Gutenberg Optimized is recorded as No. That does not mean the block editor is switched off, and it does not prove that a block-built page will look correct in the theme's templates. It means the vendor's design system is the theme options panel and the custom widgets rather than the block editor's patterns, so plan to compose pages with those tools and treat block-heavy content as something to test.

Elementor and Elementor Pro appear in the compatibility list, which is a statement about support rather than a claim that the demo layouts are Elementor pages. The same applies to the files listed in the ThemeForest package: PHP, CSS and JavaScript. Nothing there is unusual for a theme of this depth, and nothing there tells you how a page will render until you load it.

Questions & answers

Does Real Estate 7 include its own CRM and IDX?

Contempo Themes describes the CRM and IDX as part of the product rather than an add-on, presenting the theme as an end-to-end real estate solution. The marketplace description does not explain how those services are provisioned or what feed they connect to, so treat the scope as something to confirm with the vendor before you plan around it.

Can a single listing be credited to more than one agent?

Yes. Co-listing support lets you apply one or more agents to any listing, and the listing displays each agent's headshot, contact information and social profiles. This avoids creating duplicate property records purely to credit a second agent.

Do all of the theme's widgets work in any sidebar?

No. Agent Info, Agents Other Listings and Listings Agent Contact are designed only for the single listing sidebar, because they pull content from the listing being viewed. The remaining widgets, including Listings, Listings Search, Broker Info and Tabs, can be used in the standard sidebars and the footer.

How do listings get into the site in volume?

The vendor points to WP All Import together with the official add-on for Real Estate 7. Because relations such as co-agents and attachment files are not ordinary text columns, check the add-on's field coverage against your export before committing to a migration date.

Beyot

Beyot by G5Theme is built around listing economics as much as design: the vendor describes four submission payment models (free, pay per listing, pay for a package, and user-defined), with PayPal, Stripe and wire transfer integrated. Property submission works from both the admin side and the front end, front-end users get profiles, saved searches, comparisons, favourites and invoices, and search forms are assembled from shortcodes with dynamic custom fields. WPBakery is included for layout work, and the vendor bundles nine pre-built homepage demos for import.

CitiLights

CitiLights, by NooTheme, is a real-estate theme whose central decision is not layout but who is allowed to publish a property and how they pay. The vendor documents four submission models — no front-end registration, free-for-all listings, priced membership packages with optional freemium, and pay-per-submission — alongside a front-end agent dashboard for featuring, marking sold or renting, and deleting listings. This article follows that submission pipeline first, then the two view states for sold properties, the Google and Bing map layer, the dsIDXpress boundary, and the WPBakery editing surface the marketplace attributes describe.

Freehold

Freehold, by ProgressionStudios, treats a property site as an inventory: archive and single-property templates, a search that filters on fields such as bedrooms, and listing posts that carry their own image galleries. The vendor's feature list adds a bundled Boosted Elements add-on, a page builder, and site-wide styling in the Customizer. This article reads those claims and the changelog for how the pieces fit together.
