Start with the editor
Salient uses a tailored version of WPBakery with front-end and back-end editing. If you already work with WPBakery, that's a familiar starting point. If your team prefers Elementor or the WordPress block editor, spend some time with Salient's editing workflow before choosing a demo. The design is only part of what you'll work with after launch.
The demos can be imported with one click, according to the listing. Look for one whose page structure fits your content. A photography portfolio and an agency site may share a visual style while needing quite different project pages.
Give your images room to work
Salient's portfolio controls let you adjust grid spacing, colors, and the content shown alongside each project. Masonry galleries support drag-and-drop ordering and bulk image uploads. For a photographer, those details help answer a practical question: how will a whole collection look together, beyond the handful of images in a demo?
There's room for a blog alongside that work. The listed layouts include masonry grids and simpler lists, with full-width or sidebar options. Typography settings cover line height, letter spacing, weight, and size, with live font previews.
Motion is a choice
Overlapping images and optional parallax effects are part of Salient's visual toolkit. Page transitions can also be turned off. You can consider the gallery layouts without committing to every animated effect shown in a demo.
Navigation has its own choices: the built-in megamenu can span the page or stay within the content width, while off-canvas menus are available for desktop and mobile. Match the menu to the pages you actually need visitors to find.
Adding a shop or another language
The marketplace snapshot recorded in August 2026 lists WooCommerce and WPML compatibility, along with WordPress version information. That's vendor information, not a test of your particular plugin setup. For a shop, the useful check is a complete order using your own products and checkout configuration.
File-specific details belong in the package panel on this page. The feature descriptions above explain the theme; they don't confirm which plugins or demo assets are included in a particular archive.
