Deploy

WordPress theme

Deploy is Mikado Themes' WPBakery business theme, built for consulting and agency sites with several predesigned homepage variants. The vendor's most specific layout claim is header-level: separate logos for regular, sticky and mobile headers, dark and light logo variants, and a header skin that can change from section to section. It also ships an Advanced Comparison Pricing Table shortcode for side-by-side package rows, and the version 2.5 changelog records removal of the bundled Twitter and Instagram feed plugins after API changes.

Logos and header skin are treated as separate assets

Business themes usually give you one logo and a sticky copy of the header. Deploy's feature list separates the header into parts you supply individually: "Separate logos for Regular, Sticky, and Mobile headers," plus "Separate logo variants for dark and light header skin." Four logo files is a fair reading of that, and the vendor also says the mobile header can be styled on its own.

The related claim is "Change header skin from section to section." On a long scrolling page, the header's colour treatment can shift as the visitor moves into a differently coloured band. Pairing that with dedicated light and dark logo files is the arrangement that keeps a wordmark legible across both. If your mark is a wide wordmark that needs a compact icon on phones, this is the setup that lets you do it without a CSS override.

The page frame is broken into slots

The header sits in a wider set of layout slots the vendor describes: a Header Top area, Header Top and Header Bottom widget areas, a mega menu, and title areas that are highly customisable and can carry parallax images.

Below that, the theme names three side area types, an optional search with three search types, a footer configurable to four columns in either a regular or an uncovering style, a separate Footer Bottom area, a boxed layout option and a choice of grid size. Read together, these are places to fill and style rather than a single skeleton you accept. That suits a consultancy running one header and footer across service pages, team pages and a blog, where the title band above each page still needs to look deliberate.

The element the vendor singles out as business-specific

Deploy's description draws a line between shortcodes it calls presentational and shortcodes it considers useful to a business. The example given is the Comparison Pricing Tables shortcode, which displays the advantages of pricing packages side by side.

The feature list names both a standard pricing table shortcode and the "Advanced Comparison Pricing Table shortcode." For a consultancy publishing tiered retainers, a comparison table is a different job from three separate price cards: rows can be filled per package, so a reader scans what changes between tiers instead of reading each block and comparing from memory.

The changelog shows the comparison shortcode being added early, in version 1.2 in January 2016, with later releases refining surrounding shortcodes rather than rewriting it.

Social feeds were removed while the feature list still names them

The feature list still mentions Twitter and Instagram social widgets and a Twitter Slider shortcode. The version 2.5 changelog, dated 13 May 2026, records three related removals: the Mikado Twitter Feed plugin "due Twitter API changes," the Mikado Instagram Feed plugin "due Instagram API changes," and the twitter-connect script and its enqueue.

That is the vendor documenting a subtraction, not a feature. If a live feed from either network matters to your plan, budget for a separate plugin and check what the release you install actually contains before designing around it. Earlier releases also removed Google Plus social sharing, so the social side of this theme has been trimmed more than once.

Share links for your own posts are separate and still listed, with optional social share functionality and custom post formats for video, audio, gallery, quote and link posts.

Pages are built from WPBakery rows and a shortcode collection

The marketplace compatibility attribute observed on 4 November 2026 lists WPBakery Page Builder, and the vendor says the plugin is included with the theme, alongside Slider Revolution. Version 2.5 updated WPBakery to 8.7.2 and Slider Revolution to 6.7.54.

The build path is row- and element-based: you place shortcodes and builder elements, then style them through theme options and the admin interface the vendor describes as extensive. The shortcode collection includes process carousels, video banners, tabbed galleries, working hours, info boxes, team elements, testimonials, info card sliders and infographic elements, with one-click demo import as a starting point.

Both site structures are covered. The feature list includes a mega menu and anchor link functionality for one-page sites, alongside smooth transitions between pages. Choosing a multi-page corporate site or a single scrolling page becomes a per-project decision rather than a theme constraint.

Version declarations and the demo imagery

The vendor declares compatibility with WordPress 6.5.x through 7.0.x and WooCommerce 9.x.x and 10.x.x, with the WooCommerce 10.x support recorded in version 2.5. WPML and Contact Form 7 integration are listed, the theme is child-theme ready and translation ready, and the ThemeForest file list is PHP, CSS and JavaScript.

Those are declarations on the product page, not results on your hosting, PHP build or plugin set. The changelog is a more useful signal for server-side work: 2.5 records PHP 8.3 compatibility improvements, and earlier releases record PHP 8 work.

One practical note from the vendor: the demo images are presentational only and are not licensed for your site, so you would replace them with your own photography or licensed stock.

Questions & answers

Can the Deploy header change colour partway down a page?

The vendor's feature list says the header skin can be changed from section to section and lists separate logo variants for dark and light header skins, so the mark can stay legible against either treatment. This is a vendor description rather than a tested result.

Do the Twitter and Instagram widgets still work?

The version 2.5 changelog records removal of the Mikado Twitter Feed and Instagram Feed plugins because of API changes, even though the feature list still mentions social widgets. Plan on a separate plugin for live feeds.

Does the comparison pricing table replace the standard pricing shortcode?

No. The feature list names both a standard pricing table shortcode and an Advanced Comparison Pricing Table shortcode, so you can choose a simple price card layout or a row-by-row comparison of packages.

Tower

Tower's distinguishing piece is the Style Composer: the vendor describes theme options that connect to WPBakery elements, so borders, colours and backgrounds are declared in the options panel rather than repeated per element. The article covers that styling layer, the three places options can be edited, the pixel-level width control, the Agency/Business/Minimal/Portfolio demo packages, and what the recorded compatibility attributes do and don't promise.
