CozyStay

WordPress theme

CozyStay keeps its reservation engine inside the theme and hands payments to WooCommerce, so booking rules, seasonal and occupancy pricing, and iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and Google Calendar are all configured in one place. The article follows those controls, the staff-side reservation tools, and the fact that every demo was built with Elementor's free version.

Booking rules written for a property, not a single room

CozyStay's vendor spends most of its description on rules rather than looks, which is the right place to start. A booking rule can be applied to several rooms at once and set to run permanently or only inside a defined date window. That means a three-night summer minimum can go onto a group of room types in one edit, while a looser rule holds the rest of the year.

Each rule carries a minimum and maximum length of stay, blocked check-in and check-out weekdays — no Monday arrivals, for instance — and a limit on how far ahead a guest may book. Because rules accept a date range, they also cover exceptions: a festival weekend, a refurbishment window, a season that starts earlier than last year. The vendor does not say how many rules can stack on the same room, so test your most tangled overlap on a staging install before you depend on it.

Base, seasonal and occupancy rates sit in three separate layers

The pricing paragraph of the vendor description reads as three controls that stack. Base rates come with weekend rates and special pricing for particular dates. Seasonal pricing then moves those figures up or down for a period and can be pushed to multiple rooms at once. Variable pricing is a different axis: it changes what a room costs according to how many people stay, with separate adult and child rates, and it can apply during a special period too.

The discount set runs alongside: early-bird, last-minute, and long-stay rates priced by week, month or a custom number of nights. A small property with a few room types gets enough without a spreadsheet. A larger one should map its existing rate plan onto these controls first, because the theme does not take an externally managed rate plan and reshape it.

Two details from the changelog are worth knowing. Version 1.10.0 added a tax class selector for rooms and support for sorting room search results by price in either direction. Version 1.9.0 added a fixed-amount adjustment type to the flexible price rules and the ability to assign a language to a flexible price rule on multilingual sites, which keeps the rule attached to the right locale. Older copies would not have these.

iCal is the channel connection, with the limits that implies

Direct bookings are rarely the whole picture. CozyStay's answer is iCal rather than a proprietary channel-manager bridge: the vendor says reservation data syncs two ways between the site and any platform supporting iCal, naming Airbnb, Booking.com and Google Calendar, and that calendars can be generated and exported from your own site.

You add an external calendar, then import it manually or set an interval for automatic import. Imported records and logs are visible in the admin, and stale entries can be deleted so the site does not accumulate years of imported events. The stated aim is preventing overbooking; treat that as the vendor's claim and check the lag your channels actually allow, since iCal refresh frequency is a limit of the calendar protocol rather than something the theme controls. If your distribution runs through a channel manager that exposes no iCal, this will not replace it — ask that provider before you plan around it.

Reservations taken off the website, entered by staff

Not every booking arrives through the search form. An administrator can create a room reservation directly in the backend for a caller, a walk-in, or a request that came in through a contact form. Extra services can be added to those reservations by hand and the order total recalculates to include them, and availability updates so the front desk and the website work from the same inventory.

Version 1.9.0 added a calendar view that displays bookings across all rooms instead of one at a time, which is the view someone needs when checking a busy week. A property with nobody to enter reservations by hand gains little from any of this, so weigh it against your staffing rather than the feature list.

Payments stay in WooCommerce, which splits the admin in two

The booking form and reservation logic are developed in-house and integrated into the theme; payment gateways and order management come from WooCommerce. In practice, a confirmed booking becomes a WooCommerce order, so tax classes, coupons, order emails and any shop you add are configured where you would configure any store. Front-of-house staff moving over from a channel manager will be working in two sets of screens.

The changelog shows the two sides being joined rather than kept separate. Version 1.10.0 added room details to WooCommerce webhooks and fixed styling for Cart and Checkout Blocks and for Elementor Pro's WooCommerce cart and checkout widgets. Version 1.9.0 fixed a case where room items could not be added manually to backend orders once All in One SEO was active. If your workflow depends on a particular WooCommerce extension or on backend order editing, those interactions are the things to exercise first.

The demo layouts were made with Elementor's free version

The vendor states that all five demos, including headers, footers and popups, were built with Elementor's free version, and Elementor is a required plugin. That is a concrete cost signal: Elementor Pro is not needed to rebuild the demo layouts in principle, though a Pro-only widget added later by an editor would be.

Around the booking content sit six room list layouts, three gallery styles (slider, grid, mosaic), six blog layouts, a light or dark colour scheme and a library of Google Fonts. Headers and footers are built in Elementor, so the site frame is edited the same way as page bodies. The marketplace marks the theme Gutenberg Optimized: No, which describes where the vendor put the work rather than proving the block editor fails to load.

One practical note from the vendor's credits: demo images are not in the package, and an import substitutes placeholders. Budget for room and property photography before the site resembles the preview.

The theme is sold by LoftOcean with a companion plugin, CozyStay Core, which the changelog versions alongside the theme as a required dependency. Whatever copy you work from should be checked for that pairing, because a theme update and a plugin update are released together.

Questions & answers

Does CozyStay process payments itself?

No. Payment gateways and order management come from WooCommerce, while the booking form and reservation rules are part of the theme. Gateways are set up as you would for any WooCommerce store.

Can the same room cost different amounts depending on party size?

The vendor's variable pricing lets rates change by occupancy, with separate adult and child prices, and it can also apply during a special pricing period.

Will iCal sync alone prevent double bookings with Booking.com and Airbnb?

The vendor describes two-way iCal synchronisation aimed at preventing overbooking. iCal imports run at intervals you schedule rather than instantly, so check the refresh your channels permit before treating sync as your only protection.

Hotel

Bellevue, by Themovation, is a hotel and vacation-rental theme whose centre is reservation software rather than page styling: the vendor bundles a premium hotel booking plugin with add-ons for WooCommerce payments, payment requests, Mailchimp, arrival and departure notifier emails, checkout fields, PDF invoices, multi-currency pricing and guest reviews. This article covers the rate and stay rules that shape the admin calendar, what iCal channel sync does and does not settle, the Elementor Visual Library workflow and the property-type style roster, plus the route for keeping your own booking engine.

Nuss

Nuss is a WordPress theme for hotels and other accommodation businesses whose real centre is a companion booking plugin, Uxper Booking, rather than its page layouts. The vendor's description covers real-time availability, flexible pricing, room management and reservations, plus calendar sync with Airbnb and Booking.com. The changelog is unusually informative about how that inventory logic behaves in practice — seasons spanning a reservation, blocked dates affecting check-in, per-person discounts — and it also records repeated fixes to iCal sync and to the AJAX endpoints behind booking, pricing and add-to-cart. Pages are built in Elementor and payment plumbing runs through WooCommerce.

Tourm- Travel & Tour Booking Agency

Tourm is Themeholy's Elementor travel theme, and its most consequential design decision is that headers and footers exist in two parallel systems: a default set driven by Tourm Options plus widget areas, and separate templates built in the theme's own Tourm Builder panel. The article covers that split, the travel-specific addon and colour controls, the trip gallery and archive layouts added release by release, the named homepage concepts, and the WooCommerce layer the changelog builds up from version 2.3.0.
