Why the countdown and sticky bar carry this theme
Wedding themes usually lean on galleries. Freevision's description puts a different element first: a countdown component with four style options, flagged in the feature list as a new addition. A wedding site is the rare project with a fixed end state, and the days-remaining figure is the one block that has to look deliberate on a light hero, a dark band and a photo background. Four treatments give you that without restyling by hand.
The sticky info bar is the same idea applied to navigation. The vendor describes it as sticking and remaining visible while you scroll, so a date, venue or RSVP prompt stays in reach through long picture sequences. Together these two components decide how a one-page wedding site reads, which is more useful to judge in the preview than the colour scheme.
An inverting logo is a header decision worth planning early
The feature list names an inverting logo that swaps according to a dark or white background. You supply artwork for both cases; the theme picks. This matters here because the description also lists a full-screen background slider, full-screen video backgrounds from YouTube, Vimeo or a self-hosted file, and a full-screen Google Map background. Those sections shift from bright to dark as a visitor scrolls, and a single logo file will lose contrast somewhere.
The mobile header has its own history: version 6.2, dated 16 February 2024, added a colour palette and a separate menu location for the mobile menu. Earlier releases reworked the mobile menu so it expands to show all items.
Thirty-plus components sit on top of WPBakery
Pages are assembled in WPBakery Page Builder, which appears in the marketplace compatibility list and which the vendor says is included with the theme, alongside Revolution Slider. The vendor's distinguishing claim is the component set: more than 30 hand-made WPBakery components. Stock WPBakery gives you rows and columns; these are the event-specific blocks that make the theme more than a styled starter.
Behind the builder sit freevision's own tools: the Whiteboard framework and an Ajax-based theme options panel built on Vafpress. The vendor lists the front-page settings that live there, including logo, favicon, news category, font family, SEO settings, analytics code and the Google Map address. Typography offers Google Fonts from a pool of 600+ families, and version 5.3 records that fonts can now be hosted locally from the Typography options page. A child theme ships in the package for changes you would rather keep out of the parent.
Variable content sections, and what that means for reuse
The feature list includes easy customisation with variable content sections and unlimited page and homepage variations. In practice, a wedding site built this way is a set of pages you compose from components rather than a fixed template you fill in. That suits a planner producing several client sites from one licence, since rows can be reordered and section copy swapped without touching files.
It also means the design work is yours to do. The theme supplies the components and the options; the arrangement of story, schedule, venue and RSVP is an editorial decision, and reusing a section across pages is a copy of it, not a live link. If you expect a schedule edit to appear everywhere it is shown, plan to think of each block as its own instance.
What the changelog shows about upkeep
The update log runs from 4.0 in October 2020 to 7.1 in February 2026, and most entries record that WPBakery and Revolution Slider were updated, often in consecutive releases. The Wedding Planner Essentials plugin also appears repeatedly. Recent releases follow the pattern: 7.1 covers a Revolution Slider update, 7.0 covers both plugins, and 6.7 through 6.9 interleave plugin updates with miscellaneous improvements.
Mixed through are compatibility passes rather than new features. WooCommerce compatibility checks recur through 2023 and 2024, and PHP 8+ checks appear at 6.5 in October 2024 and earlier at 4.5 in July 2021. Version 4.9 marks basic WooCommerce support as added. That is evidence of a maintenance rhythm and of checks at particular dates, not a report on how the theme behaves on your PHP build or with your plugin stack.
Translation and shop support, read precisely
Translation is described as file-based: a .po file in a language directory, edited with PO Editor. WPML appears in the marketplace compatibility list, and the changelog records Polylang support added in 4.2 plus a 5.2 fix for custom post types not being searchable while Polylang was active. Version 2.8 added a WPML cookie notice option for GDPR.
The compatibility list names WooCommerce 6.x through 9.x, and basic support was added in 4.9. That is enough to know a shop was contemplated for selling consultations or small items alongside event pages. It is not a configured store, and the changelog's compatibility check entries do not describe a shop setup.
The marketplace attributes mark the theme as not Gutenberg optimised, which is the vendor's declaration about the block editor rather than proof that blocks fail. It does mean the intended authoring path is WPBakery rows and freevision's components.
Demo imagery, design sources and the files you get
The vendor attaches a clear warning: preview images such as slider images, thumbnails and conceptual visuals are not included because of copyright, and a stock image ID list can be provided separately. A Creative Commons MP3 used on one demo page carries its own attribution terms. Everything in the screenshots is a placeholder you replace with your own photography or licensed stock.
The ThemeForest file list names layered PSD, PSD, PHP, CSS and JS files. The PSDs help a designer adapt the visual language; they do not affect day-to-day editing, which runs through theme options, WPBakery components and custom CSS. Version and sales figures, plus what a particular copy contains, are details to confirm on the live product panel rather than from an article.
Questions & answers
Does Wedding Planner include WPBakery and Revolution Slider?
The vendor says both are included with the theme and lists them in the feature list, and the changelog shows repeated updates to each. Check your documentation for the versions in your copy before building around a specific plugin release.
Can a couple build the site without code?
The vendor frames the theme for couples creating their own wedding website without code knowledge. Pages come from WPBakery rows and the 30-plus custom components, with front-page details handled in the theme options panel. A child theme is included if you later want to add code.
Are the demo photos part of the package?
No. The vendor states that slider images, thumbnails and conceptual images in the previews are excluded for copyright reasons, with stock image IDs available separately. Budget for your own photography or licensed stock.
