Rentit

WordPress theme

Rentit, by Jthemes, is a car-rental WordPress theme whose distinct value is the rental rule set rather than the page builder: per-car unavailable dates, seasonal prices, hour and day discounts, minimum and maximum rental periods, and a booking time-slot buffer. A WooCommerce-based catalogue carries four listing views, search filters, coupons and multiple payment gateways. The vendor's builder story is inconsistent across the description and changelog, so the editing workflow is the main thing to verify before committing.

The rental rules are the product, not the design

Most vehicle themes spend their feature list on homepage variations. Rentit's own description leads with a rule set instead: unavailable dates for individual cars, seasonal prices, a discount system that works by hour and by day, and minimum and maximum rent dates. A separate line says season dates work together with discounts, which matters because those two settings usually collide — a peak-season rate and a promo code can otherwise stack into a price you never intended to charge.

Read as a workflow, that set answers the questions a rental desk handles daily. Which cars are off the road next weekend? What does a Tuesday-to-Thursday booking cost in July versus November? Can a customer book for two hours, and should they be able to book for sixty days? The vendor presents these as included capabilities rather than options to be assembled, so the useful check is whether your own rules fit inside them — for example, whether a season can overlap another and what happens when it does.

Buffer time and cart meta fields: small changelog lines with operational weight

Two items in the June 2026 release notes deserve more attention than their size suggests. One adds buffer time for car booking time slots. A buffer is the gap between one hire ending and the next beginning, and it exists because a returned car needs cleaning, fueling and inspection before it goes out again. If the theme now supports that gap, back-to-back bookings stop being a scheduling problem you solve by hand.

The other adds meta field values to the cart page. Rental bookings carry details a normal product purchase doesn't — pick-up and drop-off dates, times, sometimes a location — and showing those values in the cart means the customer can review the actual booking terms before paying rather than only the vehicle name and price. Both changes are vendor-recorded release notes, not behaviour verified on a live install, so treat them as the direction of development and confirm the exact settings in the demo.

Four catalogue views and a filtered car search

The browsing side is deliberately plain. Rentit lists four car listing views — grid, list, full-width grid and full-width list — and a search-cars filter. Grid suits a fleet where photos sell the vehicle; list suits a fleet where specification and daily rate matter more than the image. Full-width variants serve a design where the sidebar stays out of the way.

The search filter is the piece that determines whether the catalogue is usable at scale. The description names it without detailing which fields it filters on, so if your fleet is large enough that visitors arrive knowing they want an automatic SUV under a certain rate, test the filter against those combinations before you plan the navigation around it.

WooCommerce carries the money, with coupons, gateways and cash on delivery

The transaction layer is WooCommerce: the vendor lists a WooCommerce-supported system, a coupon and discount system, multiple payment gateways and cash on delivery. Cash on delivery is the notable one for rentals, because plenty of hire businesses still take payment at the counter or on collection rather than online.

Declared compatibility, observed on 4 November 2026, spans WooCommerce 5.x.x through 10.x.x and WordPress 5.9.x through 7.0.x, plus WPML and WPBakery Page Builder. Those are vendor attributes attached to the listing, not results from running the theme against your plugin stack. If you rely on a specific gateway, a deposit workflow or a booking plugin outside the theme's own process, that combination is what needs testing.

One builder story, told three ways

The editing workflow is the least settled part of the evidence. The feature list credits a drag-and-drop page builder, the changelog records an update to the theme on WPBakery, and another changelog line references a rentit elementor plugin as something to reinstall. Those do not describe the same tool, and the description never reconciles them.

Rather than guess, look at what the current demo actually loads before you commit to a layout plan. The practical consequence is different in each case: a WPBakery build means rows and shortcode elements, an Elementor build means widgets and its own template system, and knowing which one you inherit determines who on your team can maintain the site and how portable the pages are if you ever move.

Six homepages, one-click demo data, and what the package holds

The vendor lists six homepage types and a one-click demo data import, with a dedicated demo-content import plugin added in the 2025 release. Six starting points is generous for a rental business that might want a different face for airport transfers, long-term leasing or a bike and scooter line under the same brand.

On files, the ThemeForest attribute names layered PSD, PHP, HTML, CSS and JS. The feature list separately names Bootstrap 3 as the framework and 300+ shortcodes, both of which sit behind the builder question above. Browsers run from IE9 through Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge in the vendor declarations — an old compatibility range that says more about the theme's age than its current needs.

What the listing doesn't answer: which builder the current version uses, how the six homepages differ, and how the search filter behaves on a large fleet. The demo is the cheapest place to settle all three.

Questions & answers

Can I set different prices for peak and off-season rentals?

The vendor lists season price as an included feature and states that season dates work with the discount system, so seasonal rates and hour or day discounts are meant to operate together. The description doesn't specify what happens when two seasons overlap, so test that case in the demo if your calendar has busy stretches.

Does Rentit prevent double-booking a car?

Unavailable dates for cars are listed as a feature, and the June 2026 release added buffer time for booking time slots. Together those point to a theme that can block dates per vehicle and leave a gap between hires. The listing doesn't describe the exact conflict rules, so confirm how a cart already holding a booked car behaves.

Which page builder does the current version use?

The vendor material is inconsistent: the feature list mentions a drag-and-drop page builder, the changelog refers to WPBakery, and a separate changelog entry mentions a rentit elementor plugin. Check the current demo before planning layouts or assigning the site to an editor who works in a particular builder.

Adrenalin

Adrenalin is a CommerceGurus WooCommerce theme whose most useful settings are switches rather than layouts: catalog mode removes the cart and turns the shop into a browsable catalogue, quick view and a size guide are toggled from the options, and listing pages can be set to a list or grid with left, right or no sidebar. The vendor description also pairs a WPML language-and-currency topbar with predictive Ajax search and a megamenu, while the changelog for 2024 and 2025 shows maintenance concentrated on WPBakery and LayerSlider versions rather than new design.
