Optima

WordPress theme

Optima is a GT3themes WordPress theme for therapists, counselors and treatment centers. The vendor's description names 36 counseling topic areas and pairs WPBakery page editing with a separate drag-and-drop header builder that supports a global header plus per-page overrides. This article covers what that niche list actually gives you, how the header and theme-options layers divide the work, what the declared plugin support means for appointments and translation, and how to read the version and file-inclusion declarations.

A practice site is mostly a service list, and the vendor treats it that way

Optima's description spends an unusual amount of space on a plain list of counseling topics: Addiction, Alcohol Abuse, Antisocial Personality, Anxiety, Autism, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Career Counseling, Child or Adolescent, Chronic Illness, Codependency, Coping Skills, Depression, Divorce, Domestic Abuse, Drug Abuse, Eating Disorders, Emotional Disturbance, Family Conflict, Gambling, Internet Addiction, Life Coaching, Marital and Premarital, Medical Detox, Parenting, Relationship Issues, Sex Therapy, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Addiction, Sleep or Insomnia, Stress, Teen Violence, Transgender, Traumatic Brain Injury, Video Game Addiction, Weight Loss — with "and others" after the list.

That list is the clearest statement of what the theme is for. A practice website is rarely one page about a practice. It is a page per service, a page per practitioner, a fee or insurance page, and a way to ask for an appointment — and the service pages are where the naming gets specific. A counselor working with couples and one specializing in adolescent anxiety use different language, and both need a site that can hold several service descriptions without looking like a template reused from another field.

What the vendor claims is coverage of the vocabulary, not that each of those areas arrives as a finished page. Treat it as design and content framing aimed at this field, and expect to write the service copy yourself. The theme supplies the structure that holds that copy; it does not supply clinical content, and nothing here should be read as guidance on what a practice site must say.

Two editing layers: content in WPBakery, chrome in the header builder

The page builder is WPBakery, listed as included in the pack, with a drag-and-drop interface and both a backend and frontend editor. That is the layer you use for the body of a page — the service description, practitioner bio, or intake instructions.

The more interesting layer is described separately. The vendor lists a header builder with its own drag-and-drop customizer, unlimited header variants, advanced header settings and color settings, and a phrase that matters for everyday maintenance: "Build Unique Headers for Pages" alongside "Global & Custom Settings per Page." That pairing means one page can carry a header that differs from the rest of the site without a second theme or a custom template.

In practice that is how a practice site usually ends up differing: the homepage carries large imagery and a phone number, while service and team pages want a quieter bar. The same section of the description lists advanced sticky menu settings, which is the setting that decides whether the appointment phone number stays visible while someone scrolls a long service page.

The theme options panel underneath holds the site-wide controls: custom logo settings, footer content editor, unlimited custom sidebars, color management, and a typography section with Google Font support the vendor counts at 600+. Theme Options Import/Export and Custom CSS & JS fields are listed too — the export matters if you plan to duplicate the setup onto a staging site, and the CSS field covers the small adjustments you do not want to make in a child theme.

WPBakery is named as the builder; Gutenberg compatibility is a separate declaration

Pages are built in WPBakery according to the vendor's description, and the marketplace attribute for WPBakery Page Builder appears in the compatible-with list. Separately, the listing marks the theme as Gutenberg Optimized: Yes.

Those are two different statements. One says which builder the vendor's layouts and modules were made for. The other is a marketplace attribute about block editor compatibility, and it does not tell you that the demo pages are assembled from blocks or that a WPBakery layout will convert into block markup. If your team works in the block editor and expects page designs to be editable there, the vendor's described workflow is the one to plan around; treat the Gutenberg attribute as a declaration rather than as a second design system.

On the practical side, the file list declared for the theme covers PHP, CSS and JS files plus a PSD. The PSD is useful if a designer needs to adapt the layout outside WordPress; it is not a substitute for editing the site itself.

What the declared plugin support covers for a counseling practice

The vendor's plugin list is a support statement, not a bundle manifest. Only WPBakery is described as included in the pack. The rest — Revolution Slider, Yoast SEO, WPML, Loco Translate, Contact Form 7, BookingPress, WooCommerce, W3 Total Cache, Envato Market, Mailchimp, Cookie Law Info and Instagram Photo Stream — are named as supported plugins, which means the theme is declared to work alongside them.

The one that changes the shape of the site is BookingPress. An appointment booking plugin turns a theme from a brochure into something that can hold a schedule, and it is the difference between "call us" and a patient choosing a slot. Because it is listed as support rather than inclusion, you would install and configure it yourself, and the booking rules — session lengths, availability, who approves a request — live in the plugin, not the theme.

WPML plus translation-ready .po files is the other pairing worth noting. If the practice serves clients in more than one language, the .po files give a translator the theme's interface strings, while WPML handles the content side. Loco Translate is listed as well for editing translations in place. Contact Form 7 covers a general enquiry form alongside whatever booking plugin you run, and WooCommerce compatibility is declared for practices that sell sessions, courses or digital materials through a shop.

Versions, dates and what the listing declarations establish

The marketplace attributes observed on 4 November 2026 declare support for WordPress 6.5.x through 7.0.x and WooCommerce 6.x.x through 9.x.x, with the marketplace latest theme version recorded as 1.7.6. The theme's own update timestamp on the vendor side is 24 July 2026. Those are listing declarations attached to the product, not results from a test install; the combination you actually run — WordPress core, WooCommerce, WPBakery, BookingPress and any caching plugin — is worth checking on a staging copy before you commit.

The demo content import is described as one click. That is convenient, but plan for what comes after: imported demo pages carry placeholder text and stock photography that you replace with your own service copy and practitioner portraits. The vendor's own note is explicit that the images used on the preview site are for demonstration and are not included in the package, so photography is a cost you carry regardless of how the theme looks in the preview.

Questions & answers

Does Optima include a booking system for appointments?

No — BookingPress appears in the vendor's list of supported plugins, not among the items included in the pack. The theme is declared to work alongside it, but the booking calendar, availability rules and confirmation flow are configured inside the plugin.

Can I use different headers on different pages?

The vendor describes a header builder with unlimited variants, per-page custom headers and global settings that can be overridden per page. That is a vendor description of the feature set; the exact override controls are best confirmed against the theme's own documentation before you plan a header-per-service layout.

Do the demo photos come with the theme?

The vendor states that preview images are for demonstration only and are not part of the package. The declared file list covers PHP, CSS, JS and a PSD, so plan on sourcing your own practitioner portraits and interior photography.

907

907, by webcreations907, is built so that individual pages can carry their own logo, colours, fonts and menu, with CSS page loaders switched on or off per page. The article covers that per-page model, the WPBakery-plus-Revolution-Slider package against Elementor as a compatibility entry, repeatable portfolio and blog loops with AJAX pagination, filterable portfolios with mouseover video, the 27 demos and 134 theme blocks, and what the changelog shows about maintenance.

Act

Act, by KlbTheme, is organised around raising money rather than around a page builder: the seller lists a crowdfunding system, GiveWP, Stripe, PayPal and offline donation routes, and templates for causes, events and a WooCommerce shop. This article follows the donation toolkit, the cause and event structure, the WPBakery-first editing workflow with its later Elementor demo, and the theme options panel that controls fonts and typography. Declared compatibility and archive contents are read as the seller's claims, not as tested results.

Adrenalin

Adrenalin is a CommerceGurus WooCommerce theme whose most useful settings are switches rather than layouts: catalog mode removes the cart and turns the shop into a browsable catalogue, quick view and a size guide are toggled from the options, and listing pages can be set to a list or grid with left, right or no sidebar. The vendor description also pairs a WPML language-and-currency topbar with predictive Ajax search and a megamenu, while the changelog for 2024 and 2025 shows maintenance concentrated on WPBakery and LayerSlider versions rather than new design.
