Mega Shop

WordPress & WooCommerce theme

Mega Shop WP, by TemplateMela, is a WooCommerce theme whose vendor description concentrates on store-level persuasion: countdown timers, low stock notices, exit-intent popups, a sticky add-to-cart bar and a one-click Buy Now path, alongside product-page tooling such as variant image galleries, size charts and swatches. Storefronts run on the Avanam theme as parent, pages are built in Elementor with a free-tier build that the vendor says is Pro-compatible, and the mega menu is built in without an extra plugin.

The conversion layer, described plainly

TemplateMela's feature list opens its sales section with mechanisms that act on a shopper's sense of timing and scarcity: a sale countdown timer, low stock notices, items marked as selling fast, a free shipping bar and an exit-intent popup. Several of these are labelled in the vendor's own words as simulation. "Display Fake Live Visitors" and "Display Fake Sale Popup" show numbers or recent-order prompts that are not derived from your actual traffic.

That is a decision you make before installing anything. Simulated social proof is legal in most places but misleading to customers, and some jurisdictions regulate it. If you want the countdown and shipping bar without the invented visitor counts, plan to leave those two options switched off and confirm in the admin panel that they behave as separate switches rather than one bundled setting.

The rest of the group is ordinary merchandising: cross-sell and upsell placement, product bundles, an external or affiliate product type, a safe-and-secure label, and a counter showing how many people have an item in their cart. The last one draws on real cart data only if the theme reads it that way; the vendor does not say, so treat it as something to verify rather than assume.

What you can attach to a product page

A second vendor block covers the product page itself. Custom global tabs let you add a shared tab, such as shipping terms or a care guide, across products instead of editing each listing. A size chart can appear as a popup or a separate page. Product images get a zoom popup, and the gallery changes to match the selected variant, which matters on a catalogue where colour or material alters the photos.

Swatches are the connective tissue. Colour and image swatches drive variable products, and shoppers can filter by colour or image rather than by attribute text — useful when the attribute values are names customers do not search for.

The vendor counts 9+ product detail and gallery layout styles and 12+ hover styles. Read those as selector options for the shop grid and detail page, not as evidence of quality; the number tells you how much choice you get, not how any one of them performs.

The path from grid to checkout

Between the shop listing and the order confirmation, the theme replaces page loads with in-place updates: Ajax add to cart, an Ajax cart in a sidebar or header dropdown, Ajax filters, advanced Ajax search, and pagination offered as load-more or infinite scroll as well as numbered pages. Quick view, wishlist and compare sit on top of that, so a shopper can inspect or save an item without leaving the grid.

The buying shortcut is the Buy Now button, described as checkout with one click, paired with a sticky add-to-cart bar that stays in view as the product page scrolls. Both shorten the sequence, which is the point; they also change it, so check that your payment and shipping steps still read correctly when a customer enters checkout through that route rather than the cart.

Wishlist and compare are theme features here, which means their data lives in the theme rather than in a separate plugin. If your site already runs a wishlist plugin, expect overlap and decide which one keeps the saved items.

Avanam is the parent theme, and Elementor is the editor

One detail worth knowing before you install: the vendor states that Mega Shop uses the Avanam WordPress theme as its parent. The marketplace metadata carries the same name, Avanam at version 1.5.3. In practice that means your customisations belong in a child theme, and the vendor lists child theme readiness as a feature. Any template overrides you write should go there, not into the parent.

Page building runs through Elementor. The vendor says the demos were built with Elementor Free while remaining fully compatible with Elementor Pro, so Pro is an option rather than a requirement for the layouts shown. Flexbox container support is listed, which affects how you structure sections if you are used to the older section-and-column model.

The mega menu is built in, with the vendor explicitly noting no extra plugin is needed for it. Colour, header and footer options are handled from an admin panel with unlimited values rather than fixed presets. Slider Revolution is included and the vendor frames its value with a "Save $85" line — a bundle claim about the plugin, not something to budget against.

Eighteen demo storefronts and the images you do not get

The vendor names the included demos: Mega Shop and Mega Shop 02, Mega Mall, AutoParts, Electronics, Organic, Cosmetic, Nuts Store, Beer Shop, Food, Kitchen, Bags, Bath Shop, Coffee, Hair Spa, Spects, Jewellery, and Kids & Lingerie. That range is the clearest signal of intended use: a general retailer, or a niche store that wants a category-specific starting layout instead of a blank canvas.

One-click demo import is listed, and so is the caveat that matters more. The vendor states that all images are for preview only and are not included in the theme package; the package supplies placeholder images with recommended dimensions. An import therefore gives you structure, layout and styling, and you source the photography yourself from your own assets or a stock licence.

A multisite or multivendor plan changes the picture slightly. Dokan compatibility is listed in the vendor's prose rather than as a required dependency, so the theme's part is rendering vendor stores and products; commissions, payouts and the vendor dashboard come from Dokan.

Declared compatibility and the version question

Marketplace attributes recorded on 3 November 2026 list WooCommerce 5.x.x through 9.x.x and WordPress 5.5.x through 6.7.x, with WPML, Contact Form 7, Elementor and Elementor Pro among compatible tools. The package is listed as containing PHP, CSS and JS files plus layered and flat PSDs, and Gutenberg Optimized is marked Yes — though the editing model the vendor describes is Elementor, and the block editor marking says nothing about how the demos are assembled or which one suits your team.

Those are listing declarations, not the result of running the theme. The changelog captured here ends with a 3 March 2025 entry updating the core plugin, after a February 2025 release that added 14 layouts and updated the theme to 1.5.3, so the newest compatibility statement you can read sits some distance from the date the listing was observed. Before committing, confirm on a staging install that your WordPress and WooCommerce versions behave, and open the demo to see how the conversion features are actually presented.

Questions & answers

Do I need Elementor Pro to use Mega Shop?

The vendor says the demos were built with Elementor Free and that the theme is fully compatible with Elementor Pro. Pro is therefore an option rather than a stated requirement, though some layouts you build yourself may lean on Pro widgets.

What is the Avanam parent theme?

Avanam is the WordPress theme Mega Shop runs on top of, according to the vendor's note and the marketplace metadata. Customise through a child theme so updates to Avanam do not overwrite your changes.

Are the demo images included in the package?

No. The vendor states that demo images are for preview only; the package provides placeholder images with recommended sizes. Budget for photography or stock licensing separately.

Are the live visitor counts based on real data?

The vendor labels them as fake live visitors and fake sale popups, which indicates simulated prompts rather than measured traffic. Treat them as an opt-in marketing device and check local rules before enabling them.

Branchy

Branchy is TemplateMela's Elementor-based WooCommerce theme, and its real weight sits in the storefront layer: a long list of merchandising modules (countdown timers, exit-intent popups, sticky add-to-cart, a free-shipping bar), an Ajax browse stack covering search, filters, cart and pagination, plus a built-in mega menu. Page layout is Elementor work, while the commerce toggles and colour, header and footer options live in an admin panel. The vendor ships one Mega Store demo and five Electronics variants, and states that demo photography is not part of the package.
