Cinematix

WordPress theme

Cinematix, by Diabolique, is a BuddyPress theme built for the social side of a WordPress site: the vendor lists 40+ styled social pages, intranet groups that show different content blocks to members and guests, like buttons, achievements and badges, live notifications, and a built-in fragment cache. bbPress 2.6.x and BuddyPress 10.x.x are declared compatible, with Event Manager, Paid Memberships Pro and WooCommerce described as integrations, and Elementor frontpages supplied as a starting point you can replace or skip.

The member-versus-guest split is the most specific claim

Most of Cinematix's feature list could belong to any BuddyPress theme: styled pages, notifications, like buttons. One line is narrower. Diabolique describes intranet groups that display different content blocks for members and guests, and calls the outward-facing side an extranet.

That is a block-level distinction, not a login wall. The same group page can show a summary and a join prompt to someone outside the group while giving members the documents and discussion, which is how many internal team spaces and alumni clubs actually want to work. The listing does not say whether the split covers every BuddyPress component or only the group screens the theme styles. Group types, private versus public visibility and the logged-out view are the combinations to try in the demo before you plan around it.

Where the design work went: 40+ social screens

The largest number on the vendor's list sits on the community side — 40+ carefully styled social pages. In BuddyPress terms that is the surface themes usually leave to plugin defaults: activity streams, member directories, profile tabs, group screens.

For a site whose value sits in the logged-in area, those screens are the product. A brochure-style homepage is the wrapper that explains the network and asks people to join, and the vendor's Elementor frontpages cover that part while remaining optional. The description says you can use another page builder or none at all, so the front end is not locked to Elementor.

Social mechanics and the fragment cache underneath

Like buttons, achievements and badges, and live notifications are listed as parts of the theme rather than named third-party add-ons. Marketplace tags mention gamification and GamiPress, but nothing states that GamiPress is bundled or required; treat plugin-based gamification as something you add and configure yourself.

The less visible entry is the built-in fragment cache. Activity feeds, notifications and member lists change per user, so full-page caching either breaks them or gets switched off. A fragment cache targets pieces of output instead. The vendor gives no figures, hit rates or configuration detail, so how it holds up under your member count and hosting is something to measure rather than assume.

Forums, extensions and what the theme does not decide

bbPress 2.6.x is a declared compatibility and the feature list claims full integration. On a BuddyPress site that usually means group forums, so the theme's job is making those discussion screens look like the rest of the network instead of an attached bulletin board.

The vendor also invites use with hundreds of BuddyPress extensions — chats, music managers, user galleries, social articles. That is an invitation, not a compatibility guarantee for the directory. Each extension brings its own templates, so list the ones you actually need and check those screens against the theme's styling.

Monetisation claims work the same way. Paid Memberships Pro for subscriptions, WooCommerce for digital and physical goods, and Event Manager integration are described as working well together, not as bundled plugins. Which level unlocks which group, and what happens to a lapsed member's profile, are rules you set inside those plugins.

Layout, Customizer settings and the version gap

The layout record is modest and concrete: a three-column option, responsive behaviour, unlimited colour schemes, RTL support, translation readiness, widget-ready areas and high-resolution assets. Colour and layout controls run through the Theme Customization API, so they sit in the WordPress Customizer rather than a separate options panel. RTL and translation readiness are the entries that affect real work on a member base that is not English-only.

On 4 November 2026 the marketplace attributes listed BuddyPress 10.x.x, bbPress 2.6.x and Elementor as compatible, with WordPress versions from 5.0.x to 6.1.x and Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge as declared browsers. The marketplace's latest version is 3.2.4, and the vendor's last update is dated 29 September 2024. That ceiling stops several major WordPress releases back, which does not prove anything is broken on newer versions — it means the vendor's listing shows no testing there. If you run a current WordPress or a BuddyPress release past 10.x, ask the author directly before you build on it.

Questions & answers

Does Cinematix require Elementor?

No. The description offers pre-built frontpages for Elementor but states you can use another page builder or run the theme without one. Elementor is a declared compatible plugin, not a stated dependency.

Are Paid Memberships Pro, WooCommerce and Event Manager included?

They are described as integrations the theme works with, not bundled plugins. Subscription rules, product sales and event listings are configured inside those plugins.

Can guests see group content?

The vendor says intranet groups can show different content blocks for members and guests. The listing does not detail which components the split covers, so verify the group and visibility setups you plan to use in the demo.

Classiera

Classiera, from JoinWebs, is built around the seller's side of a classifieds site: frontend ad submission with custom fields defined per category, Pay Per Post pricing set per category, featured-placement toggles, membership plans through WooCommerce, and admin quotas on free posts and images. Buyers get advanced search on those same custom fields, grid and list views, and optional map and geo-location. Elementor and a Redux options panel handle the visual side, with 16+ named layout demos plus an RTL/Arabic demo.

EduMall

EduMall is a ThemeMove education theme whose substance sits in Tutor LMS rather than its layouts: the theme carries the course engine and wraps it in Elementor pages, BuddyPress community tools and a WooCommerce checkout. The article follows the teaching pipeline — frontend course building, quiz rules, drip and prerequisites, Zoom sessions, then instructor commissions and withdrawals — and separates vendor claims from what a theme purchase actually changes.

Honor

Honor is an AncoraThemes WordPress theme built for two related audiences at once: a WooCommerce firearms and accessories shop, and a shooting club that publishes a calendar and sells memberships. The vendor's page inventory (services, products, range, membership) and its declared support for WooCommerce and The Events Calendar show where that split lives. Behind the layouts sits the ThemeREX framework — a setting inheritance and override system, 750+ Customizer options, custom post types and widgets — plus header and footer editing in Elementor.
