The vehicle record, not the page, is the unit of work
Most WordPress themes ask what a page should look like. Car Dealer, from Potenzaglobalsolutions, asks what a vehicle record needs to carry and where a shopper can go from it. The vendor's feature list reads like a dealership desk: listing layouts, comparison, filters, inquiry forms, a payment calculator and printable brochures.
The dedicated Car Page Settings panel governs that layer. It sets how many cars appear per listing page, how many columns the list uses, the listing sidebar, the detail page layout, and whether sold vehicles remain visible. Currency symbol and symbol placement sit in the theme options as well, alongside default labels such as the price label and city and highway MPG labels — useful when a stock field is worded for your market rather than the demo's.
These are vendor-described capabilities, not features exercised during a hands-on review. The marketplace attributes quoted later were observed on 3 November 2026 and describe what the listing declares.
How the catalogue gets narrowed and compared
Buyers rarely take the first car they see. The theme gives them two routes through a catalogue. A compare function lets a visitor gather several vehicles in a drag-and-drop interface, so the comparison is assembled in the order they care about rather than read off a fixed table. Car filters run through AJAX using the GET method, which means filter state can live in the URL instead of silently on the page.
The GET detail is practical: you can hand a customer a pre-filtered link over the phone or in an email, and the page opens with those constraints applied. Both features also depend on disciplined data. Comparison only helps when the fields recorded per car mean the same thing from one listing to the next, and filters can only narrow on attributes that are filled in consistently.
The vendor also describes vertical and horizontal tabs that group cars by make, and a Car Slider shortcode with categories such as Featured, OnSale and Cheapest. Those are merchandising cuts — what you put in front of someone who has not decided yet — rather than more search controls.
Six inquiry forms and the mail formats behind them
A contact page is not a lead system. The vendor separates the two by shipping six dealer inquiry forms, each with captcha and validation, and by keeping a record of what was submitted: entries are collected per form in an admin-side Inquiries menu, so a sales enquiry does not disappear into a mailbox nobody owns.
The mail side is the more distinctive part. Responses can be sent as ADF, HTML or plain text. ADF is the automotive data format many CRM and inventory systems read, so a structured lead can reach an existing system without someone retyping an email into a dashboard. HTML and text are the fallbacks for a human recipient.
Behaviour is configurable in the Custom Forms settings, which hold mail title, mail body and receiver address; API keys for Google Maps, Google reCAPTCHA and Mailchimp sit in the same options area. Contact Form 7 is listed as ready alongside the theme's own forms, so if your team already maintains CF7 forms, both routes exist.
Three tools that answer questions before the phone rings
Some dealership questions are predictable. An integrated loan calculator estimates payments, giving a shopper a monthly figure on your site rather than on a lender's. One-click PDF brochure generation turns an inventory listing into a printable page — useful for forecourt printouts, emailed spec sheets and customers who still want paper.
Vehicle Review Stamps are described as a way to show certification or ratings from valuation providers such as Carfax.com, putting a badge beside the car instead of on a separate page about trust. Whether a given provider's data can appear as described depends on what that provider exposes, so confirm it against your own accounts rather than assuming the badge populates itself.
None of these reduce the work of entering accurate vehicle data. They reduce how often a visitor has to ask for it.
Ten homepages, and the builder question inside the compatibility list
The vendor ships ten homepage demos and over sixty pre-configured page layouts for home, about, service, FAQ, team, blog and contact pages. That is a menu of starting arrangements rather than ten different themes; one-click demo import brings the structure in, and a basic child theme is included for template-level changes.
The compatibility declarations read widely: WordPress 6.0.x through 6.8.x, WooCommerce 8.x and 9.x, Elementor, WPBakery Page Builder and WPML, with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge. The theme is built on the Underscores framework. A version list is not proof of testing, and the two page builders need care: the vendor's "easy to use" section names drag-and-drop building with Visual Composer included at no extra licence cost, which is the WPBakery product family, while Elementor appears only in the compatible-plugins list. Settle on one editing workflow before templates accumulate.
WooCommerce is similarly broad. The theme has its own WooCommerce settings for product columns, products per page, a cart icon in the primary menu and related products, but nothing in the description says vehicle records sync into WooCommerce products. Plan the shop and the inventory as two related jobs unless you confirm otherwise.
What the rest of the options panel covers, and one editor caveat
Outside the vehicle layer, Car Dealer behaves like a long-established business theme with a deep options panel: multiple headers and sticky header settings, boxed, framed or standard layouts, sidebar choices, typography controls down to letter spacing and backup font families, 800+ Google fonts, several blog layouts, bbPress and BuddyPress design integration, RTL support, translation files, and a preloader that takes one of sixteen GIFs or your own image.
The listing marks Gutenberg Optimized as No. That describes which editor the theme was designed around; it does not establish that the block editor is unusable on the site. If your team publishes posts daily, check how the block editor renders before you build a publishing routine on it.
For a dealership site, the parts worth evaluating first are the ones that carry stock, comparisons, lead capture and payment estimates. The question to answer is whether your inventory data can stay consistent enough for compare and filter to do their work.
Questions & answers
Can Car Dealer send leads into a CRM?
The vendor says dealer inquiry forms can send mail as ADF, HTML or plain text, and that submissions are logged in an admin Inquiries menu. ADF is the format automotive CRM systems commonly read, but the description names no specific CRM integration, so confirm the receiving system accepts ADF and that your mail setup survives the forms' captcha and validation.
Does the finance calculator connect to a lender?
The vendor calls it an integrated loan calculator that calculates payments. Nothing in the description mentions lender rate feeds, credit checks or application handoff, so treat it as an on-page estimate tool rather than a finance application system.
Will vehicle listings appear as WooCommerce products?
WooCommerce support is listed, and the theme has its own shop settings for product columns, products per page, a cart icon and related products. The description does not state that car inventory records sync to WooCommerce products, so plan to maintain the two as separate content unless you verify a connection.
